Ty McBride, founder of Preservan Wood Rot Repair, has been immersed in the home-building industry since childhood. His professional journey began in 2001 with clearing home-building sites, and over 14 years, he progressively took on various roles within the family business. A pivotal moment came in 2014 when Ty restored a historic home in Oklahoma City’s Mesta Park, diving into the complexities of window restoration and epoxy application.
This transformative experience fueled his passion for preservation, leading him to leave the family business and embark on a new path. In January 2016, Ty and his wife, April, founded Wood Window Rescue, driven by their mission, “We Save the Future by Preserving the Past.” The venture quickly met the high demand for old window repairs in Oklahoma City, establishing a reputation for its dedication to preserving historical integrity while innovating in the field.
